1. Panic! At the Disco - Too Weird To Live, Too Weird to Die! - Fueled By Ramen
Too Weird to Live, Too Weird to Die! is P!ATD's 5th studio album release. P!ATD has gone through some growing up as both people and musicians, and this album is a clear representation of that. I think that this album is a great next step for this band. I am really enjoying this album right now. My current favorite jams include, "Girl That You Love," "Nicotine," "Girls/Girls/Boys," and "Collar Full." I am also really loving the album artwork. They were also featured on the cover of the most recent issue of Alternative Press. P!ATD will be heading out on tour at the beginning of 2014 and you can check out their tour dates here!
2. Mayday Parade - Monsters in the Closet - Fearless Records
Mayday Parade is a band that continues to be a great representation of what pop punk music really is. They always have a way of releasing another album that makes listeners want to tune in non stop. That is something that I find very special about this group. Monsters in the Closet is Mayday's 6th studio album release. The album starts with a track titled, "Ghosts," and is a perfect kick off for the rest of the album. My current favs include, "Last Night for a Table for Two," "12 through 15," "Even Robots Need Blankets," and "Repeat Repeat." This album will be blaring through my speakers and headphones for quite some time. They will be headlining the Glamour Kills Tour this fall, and you can find the dates here!
3. Cassadee Pope - Frame By Frame - Universal Republic Nashville Records
If you have been following any of my posts, then you know I have been looking forward to this release date for a while now. Cassadee Pope has finally released her debut album as a country artist with Frame by Frame. This album is something that Pope's voice has been waiting for. I have not been much of a country fan, but I am already blasting her new tunes. If you are like me, and don't usually tune into country, I cannot assure you enough that this album may change your mind on this genre. It has for me. I'm really loving, "Champagne," "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart," "This Car," "One Song Away," and "Proved You Wrong." "Proved You Wrong," has got some definite attitude and sass in it, and I love every bit of it. This is such a powerful album for Pope and I know this album is going to be taking her very far. I really recommend checking out this album. You can also vote for Pope to be featured as the next VEVO LIFT artist by clicking here!
4. Echosmith - Talking Dreams - Warner Bros. Records Inc.
Before the Vans Warped Tour, I had never heard of the all sibling band named Echosmith. This band took over the tour by storm. They caught the eye of not only new fans, but many musicians on the tour as well. I had the pleasure of being able to meet them and watch their acoustic set while helping out at the Buzznet tent in Pittsburgh. Since that day, I have been listening to Echosmith and telling all of my friends to do the same. This is their debut album as a band and I think this represents their sound perfectly. While you listen, you would not believe their ages. They sound like a band that has been making music forever. I am loving "March Into the Sun," "Bright," "Tell Her You Love Her," and "Safest Place." This album will kick off their career by far. I have been telling everyone that this band will be huge, and after hearing this album, I know that it will be true in only a matter of time. They deserve every bit of success that they receive. I can't wait to see what is in their future. I-tunes has featured their single, "Cool Kids," as the free single of week and you can pick yours up here! Echosmith will be supporting Tonight Alive on their headlining tour, The Other Side this fall. Make sure to tickets, you don't want to miss our on their live show!
5. Miley Cyrus - BANGERZ - RCA Records
Remember earlier when I mentioned a guilty pleasure? Well that would be my love for Miley Cyrus. She has seemed to be the center of many conversations and internet blogs for the past couple of months, and that is exactly what she wants. She has finally released her highly anticipated album, Bangerz. This whole album has put Cyrus on a whole different level of an artist than what we have heard from her before. This album is a definite change with not only her music, but her image. I am all for her rocking whatever she feels that day. She has been making some extreme statements, maybe even some too far. Everyone has their own opinion, and I will just leave it at that. I say each is to their own, so why hate on Miley for doing what she wants? This album has collabs with Britney Spears, Future, Nelly, Big Sean, French Montana and Ludacris. Pharrell Williams even produced some of the tracks. I would have never imagined any of those artists working with her looking back just two years ago. Some of the new lyrics are not the most in depth or creative that I have heard, but I think this album serves its purpose and a good feeling album. An album to listen to when you are going out with friends, or to play when getting ready for a big night out. I am enjoying her tracks, "Adore You," "Wrecking Ball," and "Maybe You're Right."
I would love to hear your opinions on some of these new releases. Will you be purchasing some of them, or simply passing?
