Ohio Musicians On The Rise!
Being from Ohio, I can't help but notice and take pride in all of the most recent success many bands and artists have had rising out of Ohio. Ohio isn't one of those states that you hear about too often unless it's during the presidential election for being a swing state, in the fall for The Ohio State University Buckeyes football team and during basketball season with The Cleveland Cavaliers. More recent than other years so many different artists have been reaching success coming from this mid-west state that I call my home. Of course there are always the classics that everyone loves and respects like Dave Grohl (Warren, Ohio) from the Foo Fighters or John Legend (Springfield, Ohio). I couldn't make a list of Ohio musicians and not mention them.. but unfortunately they did not make the criteria for my list.
This list contains artists/bands that have been finding success within the past 6-7 years from very different genres. If you are just sitting at home one day, or in your college dorm room procrastinating from writing a paper (like me!), I would recommend that you give a listen to some of the following artists. You never know, one of these may soon become a favorite! (there is no order to this list...)
